The Difference Between Indoor and Outdoor Running

Outdoor running has several advantages over running on treadmills. According to research from various universities, some of the benefits of running outdoors are:
- Energy: The energy expended when we run on an outdoor running track or in other open spaces burns more than we only run on treadmills and indoor spaces. This is because when we run we rub against more air if we are outside the room such as from the wind, etc. This creates drag on the body when running. And the effect is that the energy we spend will burn more.
- Speed: The speed at which when running outdoors is more predictable and faster than running on treadmills. This is because treadmills machines actually regulate our speed systematically and make us often wrong to predict our own speed when running. Whereas when we run beyond the speed that is released is the pure speed of our own bodies.
- Mental Effects: Outdoor running can make a positive mental development. Because according to research when running outside our body releases endorphins which can function as a stress reducer just like when we eat chocolate. This hormone is what makes many people feel like 'addicted' in running or the term 'runner's high'.
All of this suggests that outdoor running has a more positive effect on our bodies than simply running on a treadmill.
Datra supports a healthy movement so that people have a lot of outdoor activities. One form of this support is by providing running track products with international standards for arenas, stadiums and schools in Indonesia. Let's run outside to be healthier.
