FIFA Standard Football Field Size

Field length and width

The length of a football field according to FIFA standards must have a minimum size of 100 meters and a maximum of 110 meters. The width of the field has a minimum size of 64 meters and a maximum of 75 meters.

Goalkeeper's box

Following FIFA standards, the goalkeeper's box is 18.30 meters long and 5.5 meters wide.

Penalty box

If following FIFA standards, the penalty box should be 40.3 meters long and 16.5 meters wide.

Center circle

The center circle on a football field should have a radius of about 9.15 meters with an overall diameter of 18.30 meters or double the radius.

PSSI Standard Football Field Size

PSSI as the governing body of soccer in Indonesia, also has similar field size standards to FIFA, although there are slight differences in the minimum and maximum limits.

Field length and width

The length of a football pitch set by the PSSI ranges from 90 meters to 120 meters. The width varies between 45 meters to 90 meters.

Goalkeeper's box

The goalkeeper's box under the PSSI standard has the same size as the FIFA standard, which is 18.30 meters long and 5.5 meters wide.

Penalty box

The penalty box also has the same size as the FIFA standard, which is 40.3 meters long and 16.5 meters wide.

Center circle

The center circle on the soccer field according to PSSI standards also has a radius of 9.15 meters and a diameter of 18.30 meters, the same as FIFA regulations.

Other Components in Soccer

Field grass

Side lines and other lines

The side lines on the soccer field function as field boundaries and also as a place for players to throw forward when the ball is out of the field. These lines must be clearly visible and consistent in size. In addition, there are also lines marking the penalty box, center circle, and goal line.

Corner kick poles and flags are placed at each corner of the pitch. These components serve as a distinction between the sideline (when taking a throw-in) and the goal line (when taking a corner kick).
