Basketball World Cup U23 in 3 ASEAN Countries

After the 2021 U-20 World Cup, Indonesia is also entrusted with holding the 2023 Basketball World Cup which will be held in Indonesia, the Philippines and Japan. Indonesia itself has never participated in this tournament since it was first held. For this reason, FIBA provides special rules, namely that Indonesia must qualify for the top 8 of the FIBA Asian Cup to be able to participate in the 2023 Basketball World Cup.

The venue that will be used for this sporting event is Istora Senayan in the Gelora Bung Karno area which has met FIBA requirements, one of which is the chair installed by Datra in preparation for the previous 2018 Asian Games.

The 2023 Basketball World Cup will also be the first event for 3 countries in the Asian region to be appointed as the host. Japan and the Philippines have been involved in this event with several proud achievements. In fact, in 1954 the Philippines won 3rd place in this tournament.

Hopefully the Indonesian national team can also make the nation proud in this highest basketball tournament.
