Jakarta International Climbing Wall Park

Description

The echoes of the 2018 Asian Games sparked a greater idea — the democratization of sports, while also responding to Indonesia’s rapid rise in the world of competitive climbing. The Jakarta Youth and Sports Agency (Dispora DKI Jakarta) recognized the need for international-standard facilities across the capital. One result is the Jakarta International Wall Climbing Park, now an IFSC-certified facility and one of the finest in Southeast Asia.

For PT Datra Internusa, as the main contractor responsible for designing and building these six facilities, this project became a true test of endurance. The pandemic struck mid-project, disrupting supply chains and diverting the provincial government’s budget toward humanitarian needs. Payments to us were delayed, while overseas suppliers demanded upfront transactions. Working closely with the Dispora team, Datra upheld its commitment and completed the work — even when payment came much later, after the pandemic subsided.

Today, these six facilities stand as symbols of our JAWARA spirit — Juang that never fades, Akhlak that preserves integrity, Wadah and Akrab that strengthen collaboration, Rancang that ensures precision, and Asa that fuels hope. This is our prayer for Indonesia’s climbing team: may they continue to make the nation proud on the international stage.
