The Largest Wall Climbing Facilities in Indonesia

Now Jakarta can have one of the largest wall climbing facilities in Indonesia. Jakarta International Climbing Wall Park is located in Cakung Timur, DKI Jakarta. This facility is built by the Dinas Pemuda dan Olahraga DKI Jakarta (DISPORA) after seeing the growing number of wall climbing athletes in Indonesia competing globally. From 2017 to 2019, Indonesia has produced world-class athletes such as Aries Susanti Rahayu and Aspartame’s Jaelolo as well as several upcoming athletes that is showing promising talents. These athletes are now reaping medals at global level competition such as the recent Asian Games where Indonesia received a gold medal .

In 2019, DISPORA appointed Datra Internusa to be the main contractor to build 6 wall climbing facilities with international IFSC standard. The Jakarta International Wall Climbing Park hopes to serve the young athletes to train using international standard facilities. We hope the condition in Indonesia will improve soon to it can be accessed and used by many.
