Enhance Stadium capacity with Elevated Spectator Design
June 22, 2022

The capacity of the stadium as a sport venue plays an important role in the ongoing world-class competitions such as the World Cup, World Championship, and the Olympics. Such as, 2018 FIFA World Cup which requires a minimum capacity of 45,000 stadiums in Russia, or FIBA which sets the capacity for the its World Cup at least 8,000 spectator seats. Unfortunately, not all locations can comply with this capacity requirement, due to limited land in the designated cities.
One of the efforts to maximize this land limitation is to upgrade the stadium design with the elevated spectator. This design was successfully utilized at the Lord's Cricket Ground or known as Lord's in the United Kingdom for the Campton and Edrich Stands.

Construction was completed in September 2021, and has succeeded in adding 2,600 seats in these two stands, increasing the total stadium capacity to 31,180 spectators. Not only adding capacity, this elevated spectator provides additional public areas at Lord's, namely 2 restaurants, 2 VIP areas, 12 F&B outlets and integrated toilet facilities.
The construction of the elevated spectator is also highly recommended because it does not change much of the initial architecture, but rather an adjustment of the initial design to give a modern touch to the arena.
In addition, in the process, this design idea is also more friendly to the environment because it does not carry out renovations in the entire stadium area. The work is only carried out in the desired area, so that air pollution from construction is minimal and restricted in certain areas.

If you have a plan to increase the capacity of a sport venue, you can make this design as one of the answers. In addition, make sure you also choose the best single seating seat to enhance the elevated spectator area.
