Indoor Multifunction Stadium / Indonesia Arena

Description

Indonesia Arena was the nation’s answer to the challenge of hosting the FIBA World Cup 2023. With an unmovable deadline, this 16,000-seat indoor multifunctional arena had to rise in the heart of Senayan. Under the coordination of the Ministry of Public Works and Housing (PUPR), the project was more than just construction — it was an unrelenting sprint demanding speed and uncompromising global technical standards.

Datra held a multi-scope mandate in this project. The main challenge lay in installing the telescopic retractable seating within the oval-shaped structure — one of the largest telescopic systems in Asia. During execution, President Joko Widodo personally inspected the progress and tested the telescopic seating, a moment of scrutiny that we met with full readiness.

Collaborating with Perbasi, the organizing committee, and project owners, we installed FIBA-certified Junckers wood flooring. Junckers, a Danish manufacturer and global FIBA sponsor, appointed Datra as its official partner in Indonesia, and this flooring system is now used in several top basketball clubs. Prior to the tournament, the FIBA inspection team expressed their satisfaction with the world-class quality of the work. The arena was completed on time, with quality fully maintained.

This is the reputation we continue to build — tested precision, seamless cross-team coordination, and quality control at international standards.
