PBVSI standard volleyball court The general size of a volleyball court is 9 meters x 18 meters. The attack boundary line for defenders is 3 meters from the center line (parallel to the net). The edge of the field is 5 meters.

Net height differs between men's and women's categories. For men, the net height is 2.43 meters and for women it is 2.24 meters.

The playing area must also have a free zone of at least 3-5 meters around it so that it allows players to move and run without obstacles.
