Even though they look like ordinary floors, sports fields have different characters, so they can't be treated the same as each other. We recommend the following tips for common sports fields you'll encounter, such as vinyl, rubber, and wood parquet flooring.
- Vinyl Floor
Use a broom and vacuum cleaner to clean the dust that often appears in the field of this material. In cleaning very dirty and stained vinyl floors, make sure you use a special vinyl cleaning liquid or liquid detergent, which has the appropriate acidity level so as not to damage the vinyl material on your floor.
- Rubber Floor
In order to maintain the resilience of the rubber court, you must regularly clean the dust with a broom several times a week. If you want to use a vacuum cleaner, make sure you use a soft roller brush to prevent damage to the floor. You can also use liquid detergent to clean the spot on the floor and immediately dry your rubber floor with a dry mop if it comes into contact with water. This is because standing water can damage your rubber floor glue.
- Wooden floor
The cleanliness of this field can be maintained by regularly sweeping or using a vacuum cleaner. You also have to make sure the wood floor that is installed is free of water, so make sure you clean it with a damp cloth and a dry cloth. For stubborn stains, wood floors must be cleaned with a special chemical solution that is suitable for the acidity level, in order to avoid damage to the wood and the glue. To keep your wood floor shining, you can also call professional polisher services to polish the floor each 6 months. Other special treatments such as the provision of a termite and water-repellent coating can also be carried out with professional services.
In practice, there are some general suggestions that we give to always take care of and maintain the resilience of your sports floor, namely:
- Do regular cleaning. If your field is used frequently, it is recommended that you clean it every day or at least 4x a week. Always schedule a thorough cleaning by calling in a professional team every few months to clean your floors.
- Make sure your field is free of puddles. Puddles of water are the main enemy for the field, especially those located outdoors due to rain. After it rains, always clean up any remaining puddles using a water absorbent cloth or a water suction machine.
Keeping the pitch clean can help you control the quality and lifespan of the pitch. How to care for the field in detail is one of the things we prepare every time we install your sports field. Contact us for more information!
