Modular Technology for Construction

Now construction technology is starting to use modular construction technology. This technology facilitates building of a construction, especially high-rise buildings. Modular products are finished building products that are produced in a factory which are then transported and installed directly in the construction construction area. The modular form is complete, including the bedroom to the bathroom.
This technology is divided into 3 stages:

Buildings are produced in prefabricated factories according to the desired size and needs in the form of modules that can be arranged like Lego. Usually these modules are shaped like a container. There are even some manufacturers who do modify container crates to become the main material for their modular construction. This production can be done in a separate factory or near the project site location.

The building modules are then transported to the project site. Because the shape is divided into modules, the transportation process is also easier using sea, land and air transportation.

At the location, the modules are arranged according to the design of the building, just like when we put together a Lego toy. Usually, to lock and strengthen buildings, a lock system can be used such as using plates or concrete and cement. This modular technology has advantages in terms of time and cost efficiency. In addition, this technology is also environmentally friendly. Modular also has easy application and is one of the solutions to accommodate the need for affordable, quality and efficient housing for people in Indonesia in the future.
