There will be around 60 new major stadiums in the world that will be completed in 2019-2020. And there is a possibility that these stadiums will take advantage of the latest technology to further pamper the spectators in attendance. Here are some of the technologies that will be developed:
1. WIFI with 5G Technology
Now everyone needs internet technology everywhere, even though 4G technology is quite fast, but to meet the needs of tens of thousands of spectators in one stadium arena, larger internet bandwidth is needed. 5G offers internet speeds that are many times faster than 4G. Although it is estimated that new 5G technology will be popular in 2020. But big stadiums like America have already started testing this technology in their arena. Even at the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea in 2018, this 5G technology has been applied to arena visitors.
2. Stadium Chairs That Have Chargers
Spectators need access to charge their cellphones to capture precious moments when watching a match or event at a large stadium. Therefore, many stadium seat developers have begun to develop technology that integrates spectator seats with dock charging for gadgets either wired or wireless.
3. E-Sports special stadium
The popularity of tournament games such as PUBG, Mobile Legend, and DOTA 2 makes the need for a special arena for E-Sports even bigger. Even at the 2018 Asian Games for the first time the E-Sports tournament was used as a testing ground for new sports. In the world there are already many E-Sports tournaments that have huge total prizes of up to millions of dollars even with hundreds of thousands of viewers in the arena and millions of viewers through streaming shows.
Hopefully the big stadiums and arenas in Indonesia will start to consider applying these new technologies to spoil the audience even more. Datra, who is already known as a contractor engaged in large stadiums and arenas in Indonesia, is ready to assist in the development of stadiums and arenas in Indonesia so that they can develop more modern.
